Drugs
According to Merriam-Webster dictionary a drug is
: ''a substance that is used as a medicine"
: "an illegal and often harmful substance (such as heroin, cocaine, LSD, or marijuana) that people take for pleasure"

Drugs should not be used unless used as medicine for many reasons, such as the effects on you body, brain and the others around you.

Short Term Consequences of Drugs
Confusion
Depression
Anxiety
Nausea
Panic
Drug cravings
Sleep problems
Paranoia- the feeling of people trying to harm you
Effects of Drugs That Effect the Brain
Drugs interfere with neutrons receiving and sending info. and mimic chemicals in the brain. Drugs aim for the brain's reward center and and sends large amounts of dopamine.
Long Term Consequences of Drugs
Brain Damage- loss of memory and thoughts
Kidney Failure
Hemorrhage- condition where someone cant control blood flow
Psychosis- mental illness that causes you to have hallucinations permanently
Cardiovascular collapse- sudden loss of blood flowing correctly
Convulsions- violent shaking of you muscles, uncontrollable
Growth Disorders- prevents full growth of your body
Death

Increased heart rate which could lead to heart attack
Some drugs eat away parts of the skin
Advocacy Campaign On Why Not To Do Drugs
Dopamine- neurotransmitter that controls emotions, movement, and feelings of pleasure.

Abuse and Neglect
Job Problems
You Can Say No
You can always say no to drugs and protect your body, brain and people around you.
