The Unexpected

The 55^th Foundation Anniversary of Saint Francis College- Guihulngan with the theme:” St. Francis and Franciscans: Celebrating the value of life in communion with God’s creation”. It is a one week celebration. The day starts with a novena mass, followed by the different activities. There are many activities happens for the one week celebration, there are folk dance, dance palabas, speech choir, hip hop, cheer dance, dance sport, duet, solo, and lots of activities. The officers make both for the students the photo both, a day to remember and the marriage both just for fun. Each student should join the different activities for the foundation week. 

I joined the cheer dance competition just for fun and beside I already experience joining cheer dance competition at my old school. As the day past we already starting our practice, there are some time that our trainer didn’t come because he is also the trainer of the student from NORSU for their cheer dance competition also in there school. Some of us feel disappointed because we wait for a long period of time but it is useless. But our trainer double his effort for us when he came back, he bring his co-trainer to help him teach us the steps because the day of the competition is fast approaching.

We only have one week to finish our dance but there are many things that are not yet done. All we  to do is follow what the trainer said and do our best so that we can give the justice to our trainers for their hard work and sharing them to us there talents.

 This is the day the day that we should do our best, the last dance and to give justice to all hard works and sacrifices we made, the cheer dance competition. We are the last presenter, first is the junior high school department followed by the college department and lastly the senior high school department. All of us feel nervous, excitement, happy etc. The emcee called the first contingent to perform, there performance was great then it followed by the college department, their performance was so amazing. While they are performing we make a company call pray to God to guide us in this competition. We didn’t put to our minds to win but to do our very best and we can give justice to our trainer and teachers who help us. As we perform we just smile and put what’s the best.

The announcement of winner, we already expect that we will not win but the most important is we all do our best. But suddenly the junior high school was the 2^nd placer, were so happy because we have a chance to win, we go in the center of the field together with the college department. While the emcee announce the champion we feel so nervous the suddenly the emcee said “THE CHAMPION IS THE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL DEPARTMENT” all of us shouted like there is no tomorrow we are all happy and we give the justice. Our trainers were supper proud on us.

We didn’t expect to become a champion but thanks to God we made it. The Unexpected.
